What should I do if a package is damaged (badly damaged or open packaging)?

When you receive a package or pallet in which the contents are damaged, or the packing is badly damaged or open, write ‘damaged package’ on the delivery receipt, and open the package in front of the delivery person so that he/she can check the condition of the contents.  Do not hesitate to take photos of what you see.

We will ensure that replacements for the damaged products are sent to you as soon as possible, or reimburse you for the value of the damaged products using the bank details that you kindly provided to us.

In any case, your request will be processed and a solution found for you, even if it takes a little longer.

Please email us at info@ducomat.be or call us at +32 4 240 72 56.

How are the products packaged?

When preparing orders, we take care to adapt the packaging used as much as possible, taking into account the volume and weight of the products, as well as their protection for transport.  Particular care is taken with parcels containing fragile products. The pallets, fitted with cardboard boxes, are in Euro (120 x 80 cm) or half Euro (60 x 80 cm) format, and are shipped via a courier or charter service.

How are pipes that are 2 metres long shipped?

When ordered in small quantities, the 2-metre suction pipes are sometimes complicated to transport. We position them vertically on a wooden pallet, use cardboard to protect them, and wrap them in plastic film. We position them vertically on a wooden pallet, use cardboard to protect them, and wrap them in plastic film.

However, if there are not enough of them on the pallet, and they do not cover a sufficient surface area, there is a real risk that the pallet will tip over during transport.  This results in the order being returned to our warehouse and then re-shipped, and time is lost.

Ideally, 1 metre long pipes should be used if the total linear length of your piping does not exceed 10 metres.

However, if you choose to use 2-metre lengths, no problem, we will respect this.
