Description

Use of our simple branch

This simple branch features a 30° outlet relative to its axis.
It has a diameter of 160 mm at the outlet, 160 mm at the inlet, and the outlet branch also has a diameter of 160 mm.
A 5 mm rolled edge is present at each end of the branch, allowing easy assembly with other components of an industrial suction duct network.
The outlet of the branch is often extended using an elbow to orient the ducting toward the woodworking machine to be connected.
As a general rule, branches are installed with the outlet in a horizontal position.
If the hood of the machine to be connected is located below the branch inlet, a 90° elbow will be installed.
From there, the ducting is routed downward from the elbow to the machine's suction inlet.

Assembly

Using our various types of clamps, branches are easily assembled by fitting the 5 mm rolled edges of the components against each other.
All our clamps serve the same purpose but feature specific characteristics.
Some are equipped with a sealing gasket, while others are closed using a lever, etc.

Quality Criteria

The quality of an industrial suction duct network depends primarily on the technical and aerodynamic expertise of its designer, as well as on the selection and quality of the components used.
The branches selected for building a suction network for woodworking machines must meet several quality criteria:

  • Steel types:
The choice of galvanized steel quality used for manufacturing our branches, together with the selected sheet thickness, ensures excellent resistance to wear caused by the conveyed material.
The sheet thickness depends on the branch diameter.
From Ø 80 mm to Ø 350 mm, the thickness is 0.8 mm.
Beyond this range, 1 mm thick steel sheets are used.
  • Airtightness:
After laser cutting and rolling, the sheet is welded and carefully sealed at the joints, ensuring flawless airtightness with no internal obstructions.
This manufacturing method also allows the branch to withstand the pressure and vacuum conditions encountered in woodworking extraction systems.
  • Pressure loss:
Minimizing pressure losses caused by air friction against the inner wall of the branch is essential.
This requires both proper diameter selection and high manufacturing quality.
The interior surface is free from roughness or construction-related obstacles.
